Daniel Craig's Land Rover
Daniel Craig's 1959 Land Rover Series II is for sale

A 1959 Land Rover Series II formerly owned by Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz is now for sale. The long wheelbase 109 model has been refurbished and remains in correct factory-spec throughout, with the addition of an overdrive unit, a rope winch, and an Exmoor Trim canvas cargo cover.
History of the Land Rover Series II
The Land Rover Series II was released to the press on April 16th, 1958, with a new curved waistline designed by David Bache. This design feature was added to cover the wider axle track underneath and was a departure from the earlier Land Rover models.
The earlier Land Rover was famously improvised into existence by Maurice Wilks, Rover's Chief Designer, who used an army-surplus Willys Jeep on his farm in Anglesey, Wales. Wilks and his brother Spencer, who was also Rover's Managing Director, decided the company should build something that combined the features of a Jeep and a tractor for use by farmers.
The first prototype used a Jeep chassis, a Rover car engine, and a centrally mounted steering wheel and a power takeoff like a tractor. The production Series I debuted at the Amsterdam Motor Show on April 30th, 1948, and over time grew to include a range of models with different wheelbases and engine options.
The Series II and its Variants
The Series II Land Rover made its debut in 1958, carrying over the 88 inch and 109 inch wheelbase lengths from the Series I, but with wider track axles to improve stability. The new model featured a updated body design, with curved side windows and a rounded roof, and a new 2,286cc four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 77 bhp.
The Series II was available in a range of variants, including pickups, soft tops, hardtops, and station wagons. The 88 inch wagon was available from launch, and the long-wheelbase Series II wagon seated up to 10 people.

| Series II 109 | 109 inch | 2,286cc petrol | 77 bhp |

The Ex-Daniel Craig Land Rover Series 2
The 1959 Land Rover 109 Series II pickup formerly owned by Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz has been repainted in Bronze Green and fitted with a range of accessories, including an Exmoor Trim canvas roof cover, rope winch, and 16-inch steel wheels. The truck has a 2.25 liter inline-four engine, factory rated at 77 bhp and 124 lb ft of torque, and a 4-speed manual gearbox with a floor-shifted RoverDrive overdrive system.
The sale includes a handwritten note from the couple confirming their ownership, along with a portrait signed by Craig. The truck is now being offered for sale out of Newbury Park, California with a Montana title. According to the seller, the truck's odometer shows 3,800 miles, though this figure is reportedly inaccurate and the truck's actual chassis mileage is unknown.
