Toyota TRD 3000GT Leads Japanese Classics
A 1994 Toyota TRD 3000GT sold for $582,500, making it the most expensive Supra ever sold at auction. This result eclipsed the $550,000 paid for a Fast and Furious hero car in 2021. The car is one of only 35 Supra 3000GTs produced by Toyota TRD and the sole example converted from a U.S. market car. Reportedly bought new in California by a Japanese tourist, it was shipped to Japan in early 1994 and converted by TRD in 2001 before being imported to the U.S. this summer after long-term Danish ownership. Hagerty described it as an exceptionally rare Supra in superb original condition.

The Venturi 111 Cup was sold by Broad Arrow three years prior at Amelia Island for $56,000 when it had only 350 km on the odometer. The Porsche 928 prototype, despite its interesting history, did not meet Broad Arrow's $250,000 to $350,000 estimate, which the report suggested may be because the 928 isn't a market darling.
